Roselyn Maynard was born and educated in Switzerland. She took her degree in Teaching and Performance at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Zurich.

She studied for her Postgraduate Diploma in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London. In her final recital for her diploma she played the world premiere of Luke Styles' Recorder Concerto.

Roselyn is a member of the recorder quintet Consortium5. This innovative ensemble performs at venues all over the UK - particularly aiming to raise the general awareness of the recorder as a beautiful instrument, with both historical and contemporary relevance. Their album 'Tangled Pipes' is available on the nonclassical label, featuring music especially composed for the ensemble.

Roselyn has performed with the Zurich baroque orchestra musica inaudita in Switzerland.

She gives private individual and ensemble tuition in North London. Working as a tutor for several music services all over the capital, Roselyn is involved in a number of Wider Opportunities schemes. She is an experienced leader in whole class instrumental tuition.

Besides her musical schedule, Roselyn has a special interest in the Japanese martial art of Aikido.
